TALENTED nine-year-old, Grace Slatter, and her dog, Sally, from Ely, are following in the pawprints of Britain’s Got Talent stars Ashleigh and Pudsey this week, as they brush up their dog dancing, skills at a Young Kennel Club training camp.

All this week, Grace and Sally are learning new skills together and developing their existing talents at the annual summer camp which takes place at Brooksby College, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

Made famous by Ashleigh and Pudsey, winners of Britain’s Got Talent, heelwork to music is a fun sport that has entertained hundreds of young dog lovers at national training camps for eight years, but this year organisers have seen interest in the activity more than double.

Each year, the young kennel club help young dog lovers in heelwork to music, but also agility, obedience, flyball and show handling.

For years talented youngsters have practised their skills, learnt new activities and had fun at camp, before going on to win national and international prizes with their dogs.
