There was a big send off at a school in Haddenham last week – not only for its leavers, but for its head teacher.
Dominic Sharp retired as head teacher of the Robert Arkenstall School last week after 16 years at the school, and held his final assembly on Thursday July 21.
After a small speech in which he said his goodbyes to the school’s pupils and staff, he was presented with a book which contained messages from all the school’s pupils.
He was also given a balloon and a scope so that he can enjoy his hobby of bird watching.
Pupils and staff then sang a song for Mr Sharp and played a video, containing images of his years at the school.
