Eerie Ely Ghost Walks are back this month in the run up to Halloween and will lead visitors through the city’s narrow streets on a range of spooky tours.
“Ghost tours allow visitors to discover the ghostly tales of scandal, death and horror on Ely’s medieval streets with the chance to meet some of the ghosts that reside within our medieval city,” say organisers.
“Led by the Night Watchman, visitors are also invited to explore Oliver Cromwell’s House after dark where a guide will lead you through this atmospheric house and hear the haunted tales that have been collected over many years from former inhabitants, visitors and staff.”
Tracey Harding, tourism and town centres manager at East Cambridgeshire District Council said: “Building on the success of previous years, we have extended this year’s ghost season.”
Tickets for both tours must be pre-booked and are now on sale for a variety of dates in October. For bookings, call 01353 662062 or visit www.olivercromwellshouse.co.uk
