THE Rotary Club of Ely will mark Saint Valentine's week next month with a big band performance at the Hayward Theatre.

Well-known Royston band Opus 17 will be providing the 1940s-themed entertainment on Friday, February 16.

Comprising five saxophones, four trumpets, four trombones, a three-piece rhythm section and a vocalist, the band play numbers like In the Mood, Tuxedo Junction and American Patrol.

The band will appear in trademark US Army Airforce uniforms, and the event promises to be a unique evening's entertainment.

INFO: The concert begins at 8pm, with a full bar open from 7.30pm and again during two intervals.
