The college matched its best-ever results which were achieved last year, with 70 per cent of students achieving at least five A* to C grades in Maths and English.

Nick Threadgold and Rebecca Review were among the students to achieve top A* grades, with the pair achieving an impressive 10 A* grades apiece.

Jade Jesty, Imogen Hayton, Ellen Solberg-Williams, Bethany Cawthorne, Dominic Wills, Joshua Lowe, Megan Simpson, Jamie Gooding, Stephanie Susanto, Rory Kemp, Saskia Winkel and Natasha Malkin also bagged top grades, achieving A* grades in the majority of their subjects.

Principal Dr Carin Taylor said: “Once again, we are delighted that so many students of all abilities have made such good progress across the whole range of GCSE subjects.

“We congratulate them all and wish them every success as they move onto the next phase of their education or training.”
