CHAIRMAN John Groves welcomed members to the February meeting when the speaker, Alan Moores, gave an interesting talk with slides, music and readings on 'Fenlandia' - as the edge of the Fens is called. There were typical fenland scenes, the wildlife, with photos of birds, animals and plants, drainage, Flag Fen, Holme and Wicken Fen. After questions, Alan was thanked by John.

Members were reminded of the meeting with Hemingford Grey Garden Club on May 15 and the subject was the Old Vicarage Gardens at East Ruston. Contact John on 01353 778527 or Janet on 01353 778337 if you would like to attend. Also don't forget to let us have any spare plants you might have for the garden at The Glebe.

Our next meeting is in the Brooklands Centre, Sutton, on Wednesday, March 14 at 7:45pm when Geoff Hales travelling theatre presents The Chinese Gooseberry Man. This is a tale about E H Wilson (a famous plant hunter) who among other things discovered the kiwi fruit during his travels in China. We look forward to seeing you and it only costs £1, so why don't you come and join us?
