A school copied a popular TV programme and held their own festive themed bake off.
Nearly 50 pupils and staff took part in The Weatheralls Primary School Christmas Gingerbread Bake Off.
They all baked a gingerbread house from the pantomime Hansel and Gretel. The winners were Kara, Caden, Lauren and Martha.
Year 3/4 teacher Emma Bircham, who organised the bake off alongside Georgina Goldsack, said: “The children learnt the story of Hansel and Gretel and made their cottage out of anything they wanted. They were good.”
