DAMPENED by heavy storms, rain and lightning, visitors to the 35th Haddenham Steam Rally braved the mud for a great weekend out.

Boasting over 500 tractors, steam engines, vintage cars and motorbikes the event looked set to attract hundreds, but unfortunately fell victim to the heavy weather.

Rally secretary, Denise Young, said: "The turn out was quite good considering the weather, but the mud was so deep.

"The field now looks like something out of Glastonbury."

A live performance from the Wurzels took centre stage on Sunday and was well attended, alongside with the heavy horse show on Saturday.
