VISITORS to Ely Folk Festival were treated to outdoor theatricals, a raft of real ales and some top quality music at the weekend.
Traditional folk acts mixed with younger musicians for sell-out performances, but those who missed out on tickets were not left out of the proceedings - as a spectacular musical procession made its way through the city on Saturday morning, accompanied by the music of bagpipe band Saor Patrol.
World music act Zambula, singer songwriter Bella Hardy and Boo Hewerdine were among the big names at the event, while emerging talents Jade, from Cambridge took to the stage on Saturday evening, and a wealth of accordionists and fiddlers entertained on in between dunking their tankards in the ale tent.
Representatives specialist folk website Spiral Earth were also on hand to record the weekend's event for posterity.
