Year 11 pupils from Ely College marked the end of their schooling with a prom at The Maltings on the city’s riverside.
More than 100 pupils arrived at the venue on Friday evening, travelling in everything from vintage buses, to tractors and trailers and even a motorcade of motorbikes.
Ely’s Waterside was awash with scores of well-wishers who lined the route as students arrived.
Some chose to contrast the elegance of the traditional prom dress with the boldness of the tractor, while others sought a more tongue-in-cheek approach.
The event was held to celebrate the end of the pupil’s five years at the Downham Road college as they await the results of their GCSE examinations, due out in mid-August.
