THOUSANDS of people turned out to enjoy the return of the Pymoor Agricultural and Country Show at the weekend.

The show, now in its 11th year, featured a mixture of all the finest traditional and modern activities with vintage vehicle parades, country dancing, gun dogs, and even Punch and Judy all on show.

Also returning to the show this year was the ever-popular dog agility challenge, a testing circuit made up of tunnels, obstacles and hurdles for pet dogs and their owners to negotiate.

Event organiser John Pinnells, said: "This year's show, which was held under a cloudless blue sky, was crammed full of activities, demonstrations and fun for every one from eight to 80 to enjoy and enjoy it they certainly did."

The trophy for the Best Agricultural Trade Stand was won this year by E. Palmer & Son for a display showing 75 years of Ford and Fordson Tractors. The shield for the Best Non-Agriculture Trade Stand went to Luavic Potts Furniture Restorations. The presentations were made by Leader of East Cambridgeshire District Council, Fred Brown.
