THE annual Littleport Show took place on Saturday when thousands of visitors flocked to enjoy one of Cambridgeshire's oldest country shows.

The sun shone down on this popular fun family day out, held at Highfield in Ely Road, with arena events, side stalls, crafts, The Horticultural Show, music and much more.

This year the show featured the Littleport horticultural marquee, vintage and veteran vehicles, the Littleport Society marquee, WI tea garden, barbecue, licensed bar and photographic competition display.

Entertainment in the main arena was provided by the Heavens Above aerial stunt team, Romford Drum corps, leisure and working horse display and Soham Fenlander majorettes. Side show events included March veteran cycles, Ely Community samba band, Punch and Judy, bouncy castle, marquee theatre, Fabulous Feet school of dancing, Razz the Clown, a paper wizard and much more.

It was an opportunity for the community to come together and was one of the highlights of the year for local groups and societies to showcase their abilities.

Such is the popularity of the Littleport Show that a park-and-ride system was in place to cope with the number of visitors who enjoyed a fantastic day out in the glorious sunshine.
