THE Classes of 2013 have settled into school life – and in recent weeks we have been catching up with this year’s intake of reception children.
Our photographers Helen Drake and Steve Williams have visited reception classes across East Cambridgeshire during the last two months to capture youngsters’ first days at school.
This year also marked the opening of The Shade Primary School, in Soham. It is occupying temporary classrooms at the Weatheralls School site in Soham until January, when the new buildings will be ready, but its reception children have been enjoying a packed programme of indoor and outdoor learning.
