SUTTON won the toss and elected to bowl first on a drying wicket. James Nuttall had struggled in previous games but found his line and length straight away, causing Girton's batsmen problems. He took the first six wickets for 14 runs off his 10 overs. He was well backed up with tight bowling from Steve Northrop (1-26) and Jonathan Few who went for 16 off his nine overs. Top scorer for Girton was Smalley who made 32 and the team found themselves all out for 96 in 38.2 overs.
In reply, Sutton made it look easy as they cruised to 98-2 with Michael Grady (42) and Lloyd Brown (33no) top scoring.
