Ely’s Cloisters shopping precinct was transformed into a catwalk runway last Wednesday for the inaugural Mayor’s Fashion Show.
Hosted by the mayor, Cllr Elaine Griffin-Singh, the event saw the Cloisters promenade make way for a plush red carpet, with clothing retailers from around the city showing off their wares.
The event, which was held to raise funds for the Mayor’s Charity, while promoting the Cloisters, was the brainchild of Maura Yates, manager of Bon Marche, and the mayor.
As well as a host of models on the catwalk, the event also saw face-painting and craft activities hosted by Ely Library for youngsters to get involved with.
A raffle helped raise almost £100 for the Mayor’s Charity.
