To be nominated for one production is impressive ... but Soham youth theatre company VIVA has two productions in the running for this year’s prestigious National Operatic and Dramatic Association awards.
They have been nominated for Best Youth Production 2014 for both The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.
On top of this, Ellie Bovingdon has been chosen as the NODA East District Four South Best Young Performer of 2014 for her role as Eponine in Les Miserables by the group’s NODA representative Julie Petrucci. The awards ceremony takes place in May.
Hetti Wood, of Viva, said: “Viva is thrilled with this news and we are so proud of every single cast member, production member, volunteer and the list goes on.
“We could not put on these shows without the support of our local community and other organisations around us including The Brook Enterinament Centre, The Newmarket School of Dance, Blueshed Studios, Classworks Costumes and every single audience member who came to watch the shows.”
