PUPILS at a Soham college ditched their textbooks for guitars on Tuesday.
They took part in Soham Village College’s annual suspended timetable day, where staff and students throw convention out of the window and pack in as many activities as possible.
Some students did nail painting while others carried out experiments.
A group of pupils even came together to publish a book.
The highlight of the day was staff and students joining forces to form their own dysfunctional rock band.
Andrew Hunter, assistant principal, said: “The idea was to encourage staff and students to try something they have not before while thanking them for all their hard work this year.
“Students were building hydrogen rockets, others made animated films, people were composing music and all sorts of creative things.”
