THERE was a colourful array of Easter bonnets on display at Millbrook House in Soham over the weekend as residents took part in a special competition.
From chicks and eggs to rabbits and various flora and fauna, the bonnets brought out the creative talents of many of the home’s residents, who then submitted their creations for judging.
Soham first responder and president of Ely Rotary Club, Jacqueline Whipp, judged the entrants and awarded first prize to Ida Gilby, second place to Harold Levitt and third place to Shirley Watkins.
Special mention went to 102-year-old Elsie Ward, whose bonnet was also a strong contender for a top finish.
