MORE than £1,300 was raised for St Andrew’s Church in Soham when hundreds of people joined in the fun at its annual fete.

People milled around the churchyard throughout Saturday to enjoy a variety of entertainments acts, stalls and games.

Members of Viva Youth Theatre were out in force putting on numbers from their latest production Fame while plants stalls, tombolas, cake and bunting stalls, games and trips up the church tower were also on offer.

Organiser Alison Palmer said: “The fete went really well, the day was consistently well attended and it raised more than £1,300 for the church which was fantastic.”
