YOUNGSTERS in Little Downham were showing off their flips and tricks at a special summer holiday skating event held on Thursday.
Run by East Cambridgeshire youth group Community Carts, a series of ramps, boxes and grind rails were set up at the village recreation ground and dozens of youngsters turned out to test their skills.
Scooters and skates were also welcome and kids as young as five were hitting the ramps and pulling off 360 degree spins.
Organiser Mick Oliver said: “Because we have a long history of providing these sorts of events, the kids just turn up and get stuck in, they are all very well behaved and never give us any trouble.”
Alongside Mick were three summer volunteers from secondary schools around Cambridgeshire who were overseeing the skaters while working towards a youth work qualification.
