A fallen tree has blocked a stretch of the A1123 through Wilburton.
High winds sent the tree tumbling into a passing lorry shortly after 9am this morning, crushing part of the cab and forcing the vehicle to stop.
A stretch of the A1123 running from the B1049, Twenty Pence Road, through to the A1123, High Street, was blocked as a result and remained closed for most of the day.
Police advised motorists to avoid the area and there were delays in both directions while work was carried out to remove the tree from the cab of the lorry. Specilist crews and a cherry picker were called in to help.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
