PUPILS at Little Downham Feoffees School turned their hands to a spot of embalming this week as part of an Egyptian day.
Class 4 have been studying the Egyptians throughout the summer term and had the chance to let their hair down on Friday by dressing up as mummies and pharaohs and getting to grips with some ancient Egyptian fun and games.
The Year 4 pupils learnt some hieroglyphics, baked some Egyptian treats, made some jewellery and even had a go at mummifying a model cat.
Teacher Jo Cavill said: “The children had a great day, it is something we like to do at the end of every term and they really enjoyed. They were even able to parade out of assembly first in full costume in front of the whole school!”
