St Andrew’s Church played host to a three-day flower and harvest festival over the weekend.

The festival kicked off on Saturday and dozens of people stopped by to enjoy the harvest and scarecrow-themed displays.

Church and community groups, including Sutton Brownies and St Andrew’s School, were involved in putting together displays for the event, which raised funds for the church.

A raffle was held and refreshments were served and a collection of produce was donated to Jimmy’s Night Shelter, in Cambridge, and Ely Foodbank, which will shortly be opening a distribution point in the village.

Rev Mary Hancock said: “It went very well, we were very pleased. It was a chance for the community to come in and admire people’s creativity and also a chance for them to have a look around the church.”
