OLYMPIC torch bearer Keren Goff was on hand to switch on Soham’s Christmas lights on Friday night.
The Fordham resident was joined by dozens of locals for the annual event, with a range of festive activities, fun and games on offer in and around St Andrew’s Church, at the heart of the town.
Some visitors said a lack of stall numbers left a sour note on an otherwise enjoyable evening, with the St Andrew’s Swimming Pool Association, Soham Town Forum, Soham Heritage and Tourism Group and Soham Singers among the community groups who turned out for the event.
There was plenty of festive food and drink on offer and there was a Santa’s Grotto and fairground rides to boot.
