FARMING themes encapsulated one of the principal events in Ely on Saturday to herald the start of a Jubilee themed weekend.

Friends of Kings School Ely staged an agricultural show at The Campus Fields, Angel Drove, Ely, to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee and the agricultural links with the school.

Rural Crafts, locally produced food, rare breeds, tractors and machinery, displays such as terrier racing, shepherding, dog agility, falconry, wood carving, glass blowing were all on display.

Balloon racing and welly wanging also added to the gaiety of the day and although the day was intended to be a not for profit event should any proceeds be accumulated they will be given to charity.
