Ely Crusaders 1 Mepal Sports 2

CRUSADERS' attempt to reverse the early season loss to Mepal proved fruitless, despite an excellent performance in difficult conditions and home side Mepal took the spoils in this top of the table clash.

Mepal's Serifo Balde scored in the first quarter but the second was goalless. Ely goalkeeper Evan Jeckells was on top form, supported well by defensive duo of Jake Butler and Edward Frodsham. In the third quarter Ely finally breached the Mepal defence as James Barrett steered in Felton's right wing cross past Mepal 'keeper George Rayner.

With the Ely team pushing hard for a winner it was Balde again who scored the decisive goal (Mepal's 99th of the season) and took the win.
