VISITORS to Wicken Fen went a little batty this week as part of a spooky series of Halloween events.
Dozens of youngsters turned up in their creepiest capes and costumes for Batty Halloween, with a story trail, games and a host of ghoulish activities taking place.
The youngsters were given the chance to create their own pumpkin lanterns, tested out a spider’s web assault course and also learned about the fen’s numerous night-time visitors, bats.
A Halloween ghost walk was held later in the evening, where parents joined the youngsters for a nocturnal tour of the fen.
