Witchford Village College’s geography department has been awarded the Secondary Geography Quality Mark in recognition of excellence in teaching and learning in the subject.
The award, now into its fifth year, recognises results, progress and achievement in areas such as geographical knowledge, understanding, values, skills and concepts, and sets expectations about the quality of teaching in geography.
It aims to promote effective leadership and management, helping teachers raise the standards of geography in their schools.
Head of geography, Jim Hill said: “I am delighted that the geography department at Witchford Village College has been awarded the Secondary Geography Quality Mark for the second time.
“The award recognises our ongoing commitment to teaching and learning in geography, as well as the quality of work produced by our students.”
