EAST Cambridgeshire residents are being urged to back a nationwide campaign to encourage more people to become foster carers.
In Cambridgeshire, there are currently 200 families looking after 371 children in care.
As part of Foster Care Fortnight, which runs from May 14 to 27, Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for an extra 50 households to look after children.
Foster Care Fortnight, co-ordinated by fostering charity the Fostering Network, raises the awareness of fostering and highlights the shortage of foster carers across the UK.
