CHAIRMAN Pam Hayes welcomed David Thomson from Chelmsford, who was the demonstrator for the October meeting. The title of his demonstration was 'kaleidoscope'. He explained his love of colours and he used his individual ones in each arrangement. The containers were carefully chosen to offset the colours. David demonstrated five arrangements using peach, green and white, yellow, green and pink and grey. This gave him the opportunity to use a wide range of flowers from sunflowers to green carnations displaying the sublets of texture and tones. A wonderful evening was had by all with some members winning the arrangements as raffle prizes.
Hazel Palmer gave the vote of thanks.
November 15 will be the open meeting with the demonstrator Jonathan Mosely, from Dronefield. The title will be 'Christmas concepts'. This is an evening not to be missed, with a raffle of the arrangements.
INFO: Tickets are £10, and can be purchased before the evening. Including a glass of wine and refreshments, they are available from Pam Hayes 01353 860102 or Pam Sole 01353 863421.
