KNOWN for his natty waistcoats on the popular TV show Flog It! auctioneer David Palmer was wielding his gavel at Soham Village College on Saturday, helping to raise about £200 to support school projects.

David helped value items brought along to a vintage, retro and collectables fair run by the college’s Home and College Association, and then auctioned a variety of lots, ffrom paintings to antiques.

Association treasurer Christine Smith said: “We had a really lovely day, and David did a fantastic job for us. He was part of the organising team, and gave visitors advice about the items they brought along.”
