SUPERMARKET giant Sainsbury's has released the first pictures of how its new Ely store might look if it is given the go-ahead by the council.

The store, which, if it gets planning approval, will be built on the vacant Ely Chemical Company site on Lisle Lane, will bring 300 jobs to the area as well as new pathways, a car park and a shuttle bus service to the city centre.

Sainsbury's are inviting members of the public to view the proposals at an exhibition in The Lamb Hotel's Coach House room on May 8 and 9.
