Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service will be offering free advice to residents in Ely next Tuesday (August 19).
Firefighters from Ely will be at the Clarence House Nursery, in High Barns, from 11am-1pm and 2.30-4pm.
As well as offering advice on fire safety, firefighters will be offering to visit homes to look at fire safety plans.
A spokesman said: “We are aware that some people may be reluctant to receive advice or help and perhaps don’t realise the enormity of their or their families risk from fire, but in the interests of the whole community, this may just save someone’s life.”
Firefighters will also be in Ely’s Market Place on September 4 from 9am-noon offering advice and guidance.
