More than 60 tonnes of manure caught fire on a farm in Little Downham yesterday (Wednesday).
Firefighters from Ely were called at about 2pm to a farm in Downham Common following reports that a pile of manure was ablaze.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters used two hose reels and drags to control and extinguish the fire, which involved about 60 tonnes of manure. Crews returned to their stations by 3.30pm.”
The cause of the fire was accidental.
