FIRE cadets in Ely marked the end of their course with a passing out parade in front of their family and friends.

The cadets, aged between 14 and 17, demonstrated a series of drills, including the rescue of a person trapped from an upper floor room, showing off the skills they have acquired over the 44-week course.

They were presented with a certificate by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service chief fire officer Tom Carroll and Cllr. Roy Pegram, Chairman of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire Authority.
