TEACHER Hayley Carroll is donning her trainers for the Great South Run this weekend in aid of a charity close to her heart.
Mrs Carroll, from Beck Road, Isleham, lost her first baby, Danny, when he was born prematurely in 2000. He lived just eight hours.
"The time comes when you slowly but surely come to terms with things," said Mrs Carroll.
She then decided to start doing 10k runs and has trained hard for the 10-mile Great South Run around Portsmouth.
Mrs Carroll, who teaches business at a secondary school in St Neots, is running in aid of Bliss, a charity campaigning for improvements in neo-natal care. She thanked her husband Rick, friends and family for their support, and said she felt blessed to now have two children, Isobel, 6 and Paul, 4.
