USING a moped without a rear L-plate landed teenage learner driver Brett Stephenson with a £75 fine this week. Stephenson, 18, of Ely Road, Little Downham, was also ordered to pay £35 costs and had three points endorsed on his licence by Ely magistrates.

Stephenson, 18, of Ely Road, Little Downham, was also ordered to pay £35 costs and had three points endorsed on his licence by Ely magistrates.
Stephenson admitted using a Kinroad moped not in accordance with the terms of his provisional licence in Lynn Road at Ely on December 18 last year.
He told the court he had since fitted a solid plate that would not fall off.
