WUTTON film-maker Daniel Griggs has been awarded second place in a major film festival for his film "In the shadows of the light".

Daniel, 19, of Bellairs was awarded a silver trophy at the Cotwolds International Film Festival in Stroud.

He was presented with his award by Mark Lipscomb, a news presenter for television company, ITV Central.

Daniel's film was also screened at Swansea Bay International Film Festival, where it received a nomination for best young film maker in June.
