Donations are put into the envelopes and these are hung on the tree.
For Christmas 2015 Holly Cottage in Ely was the chosen charity. Holly Cottage is a family run centre for people with learning disabilities.
As a result of the tree appeal and a donation from Ann and Sarah’s Christmas coffee morning a cheque for £333 was presented to Pauline Bent from Holly Cottage during the Churches Together united service on January 31.
A further donation of £137 was also given from the offerings at that service making a total of £470.
