A RECORD £1,687 was donated to charity by parents, pupils, staff and friends who attended the King's School Ely's Christmas services at Ely Cathedral.
Jimmy's Night Shelter in Cambridge is the major beneficiary - the charity will receive £865.28 which was collected at the whole school end of term carol service.
Collections at King's Junior School's carol service and at King's Acremont's Christmas production will go to the Choir Schools' Associations Bursary Trust and CAMFED (Campaign for Female Education).
