Pupils at Downham Feoffees Primary School explored the wonders of the natural world as part of a special science week.

The school, in Little Downham, welcomed a range of guests in during the week prior to half-term to talk to youngsters about science and the role is plays in our lives.

Pupils learned about the science behind the engine and the miracles of modern medicine before trying their hand a series of hands-on experiments.

Teacher Tom Russell said: “Everybody has been really excited about science week and they have enjoyed a fantastic time and been really enthused by it.

“We wanted to get the children engaged with science and it seems to have gone down really well.”
