AWARD-winning audio-series Fenland Memories has been re-released in time for Christmas. The CD contains a series of interviews with local people. The recordings, originally broadcast under the title Tiger Talk, is the work of ex-BBC producer Lester Millba

AWARD-winning audio-series Fenland Memories has been re-released in time for Christmas. The CD contains a series of interviews with local people.

The recordings, originally broadcast under the title Tiger Talk, is the work of ex-BBC producer Lester Millbank, who for the past 15 years has run a production company in Ely.

Local historian Mike Petty said:

"The recordings capture the essence, spirit, humour and sounds of the Fen people."

CD are now available from Burrows Bookshop, High Street Passage, Ely.

Beet club charity ball

Help raise money for the British Lung Foundation at a charity ball this Saturday. The ball, at Ely Beet club on Lynn Road, is a formal event hosted by lung disease sufferer Louise Murphy, 20. Tickets are £15 from Louise on 01353 614820.
