A LITTLE Thetford man was killed following a road accident in the village on Thursday morning.
David Nichols, 59, of The Wyches, died instantly when his red Alfa Romeo collided with a blue Jaguar X-Type at the A10's junction with Red Fen Road just after 11am on Thursday.
The driver of the X-Type, a 69-year-old man from Ely, and his passenger, a woman from Ely, both suffered minor injuries.
Fire crews from Ely and Cambridge used specialist cutting equipment to free one casualty.
The road was closed for about three hours from the Stretham roundabout.
Diversions were put in place.
