Fast food giant Subway has opened its doors in Ely.
The multi-national chain – which specialises in sandwiches – moved into the recently vacated Lloydspharmacy premises, in High Street, on Thursday alongside convenience chain Spar.
The premises is being shared by the two retailers.
Plans to open a branch of Subway first surfaced in November last year shortly after Lloyds moved into St Mary’s GP surgery, in St Mary’s Street.
The restaurant and shop has created more than 20 jobs.
