Three famous faces from the worlds of film, television and theatre surprised young members of a local drama group at their latest read-through.

Paul Nicholas (EastEnders and Just Good Friends), Wendi Peters (Coronation Street) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) all turned up to a recent Viva Soham read-through.

Aspiring local actors Siobhan Fordham, Abby Cornwell and Sienna Warder were involved in the read-through of a new, professional musical being developed for the stage. The read-through was directed by award-winning director Carole Todd.

Dan Schumann, of Viva Soham, said: “It is wonderful that Viva can offer our members unique opportunities within the professional theatre industry as well as continue to offer all of our award winning local work.

“I am thrilled that our three members were able to take part in this brilliant reading.

Julie Cornwell, of Viva Soham, added: “The girls all really enjoyed it and did a great job.”
