THE family of a man killed in a collision in Fordham on Sunday have paid tribute to him.
Father-of-one Stephen Floyd, known as Floydy, suffered fatal injuries after his car left the road and collided with a tree on the B1102 Station Road on Sunday (November 27).
He was discovered by a passer by early the following morning and emergency services were called the scene.
The road remained closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out.
His dog Stella, who was never far from his side and was described by family as his “faithful and loved companion of seven years,” was also killed.
In a short statement, his family paid tribute to the 53-year-old, who lived at New Road in Exning:
“Steve was a loving father, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by us all.
“He was proud to be from Exning and was affectionately known by many as ‘Floydy’.”
