DIAMOND couple Eddie and Kath Stearman celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family party.
Eddie, 85, and Kath, 80, met at a friend’s wedding in Ely in 1952 and were married a year later at St Leonard’s Church in Little Downham.
Eddie worked in the building trade while Kath worked on the land and the couple moved to Littleport where they raised four children.
In their later years, the couple managed a milk round in Little Downham and Pymoor before retiring.
They were joined by friends, their nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren at Ely City Football Club for a family party to mark the occasion on April 4.
