OVER 55s are being encouraged to Get Moving This Month and attend a series of free taster sessions ranging from chair-based exercises to Pilates.

The project, organised by Healthy Living - East Cambridgeshire with support from the district council and the East Cambridgeshire and Fenland PCT, will be visiting a number of towns and villages throughout East Cambridgeshire and Fenland.

Organiser and physical activity specialist, Kat Maguire, said: "The aim of these exercise classes is to give over 55s the opportunity to try something new, possibly meet new people, get a bit fitter and have some fun all at the same time."

The first road shows kick off at The Glebe in High Street, Sutton with the following free sessions open to members of the public: Keep fit - Friday, October 13, 11.30am; Tai Chi - Thursday, October 19, 11.30am; Pilates - Monday, October 23, 11.30am; chair-based exercises - Friday, November 3, 11.30am.
