The annual Isleham Sportsmen’s Evening was held at The Beeches Community Centre on November 10.

The speakers were Chris Sutton, ex-Blackburn and England player, and Mark Goldsack, chairman of the trustees of Isleham Community Association, and Paul Nixon, who was recently appointed head coach at Leicestershire County Cricket Club.

“The trio entertained 120 guests and a fabulous evening was enjoyed by all,” said group member Glenda Preece.

All profits from the evening will go towards the refurbishment of the The Beeches centre which opened in 2013 and provides facilities for residents and the surrounding villages.
