“I think it’s great to give the students something exciting to do at lunchtimes, these are the kind of memories they’ll be talking about for years.”
MORE than one hundred students at Soham Village College are taking part in a computer game version of the upcoming Euro 2012 football championships. The competition, organised by two of the school’s teachers and run by some Year 11 students, will raise money for the student prom in the summer and will include 80 games to find the school’s best two FIFA 12 players.
“The games are played at lunchtimes and are currently drawing crowds of up to 100 students a day, giving the competitors a truly unique experience of playing in front of a live audience,” said teacher Richard Pearce.
